This 8 hour class is designed to introduce the student to the basics of SMT automated processing.  The student will be given an overview of the equipment used, the individual process steps, component identification and a brief introduction to workmanship standards.   Topics covered include SMT workmanship criteria, component identification,  overview of the screen printing process including using Gerber data to manufacture stencils, different stencil considerations, squeegee selection, paste disposition along with common defects, component placement equipment, use of reel and trays to feed machines, automated vision systems, introduction to re-flow ovens, and  re-flow defects/solutions.

This class is designed to be taught onsite at your facility when possible.  This allows the class to be customized around your unique processes and equipment.  When possible discussion about your particular equipment and a site tour is preferred. Minimum class size is 6.
